CC Pacific Limited has endeavoured to focus on the Executive Management recruitment space and as a result, we were engaged by several reputable companies to source and identify candidates from both internally and externally for various executive roles which we have captured in Appendix 01:

With the use of different recruitment methodologies and techniques, CC Pacific Limited along with its’ alliance partners has consistently aimed to deliver the best candidate possible for every role.

PRONTO SOFTWARE SYSTEMS:

Pronto Software is an ERP software provider based in Australia. Pronto supports both ERP Systems and Software across PNG. CC Pacific Limited employs and has been employing for the past 6 years a handful of national Proto Specialists in its Port Moresby office.

SOCIAL SOLUTIONS INTERNATIONAL:

Social Solutions International (SSI) is an all-woman owned organisation founded in 2005. Social Solutions International provides humanitarian support and help to underserved populations across third world countries including PNG for the Pacific American Fund. CC Pacific Limited provides professional contracting services to SSI employing their project program staff in PNG who operate and implement projects on behalf of USAID.

MOROBE MINING JOINT VENTURE:

MMJV engaged CC Pacific Limited to source and contract 100 national tradesmen from across the country. CC Pacific Limited was able to successfully source and deploy 60 national tradesmen to site (Hidden Valley) – as contractors 18-month period before being permanently hired by MMJV.

CC Pacific Limited employed and contracted over 400 labourers across all MMJV sites for the Wafi, managing all employment and industrial affairs for the employees.

Sandvik Mining & Construction PNG Limited is a world-leading mining equipment manufacturer, we are committed to improving your productivity and profitability. Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions products and services provide maximum value in terms of performance, quality, safety, flexibility. Sandvik was recently awarded a long-term contract on a couple of mine sites in PNG prompting them to establish an office in PNG. Because of the urgent demand to be on site and working from their client/s Sandvik has partnered with CC Pacific Limited to provide a short-term employment vehicle for its Expatriate and National workforce for the interim while they establish their PNG office.

Harmony SE Asia is a global, sustainable gold mining and exploration company with a copper footprint in our Wafi-Golpu and recently Eva Copper projects. Harmony is also a significant operator of gold tailings retreatment facilities.

CC Pacific Limited has maintained OCN Contractors on the Hidden Valley Gold Mine project. And has also been successful with the sourcing and deploying of Specialised OCN Tradesmen with Harmony, over many years.

Ausenco PNG Limited, specialists in the provision of engineering, construction, and project management services in mining and mineral processing sectors. Due to their success and ability to deliver, Ausenco was awarded the EPCM contract for The Hidden Valley Gold Project, a major Greenfield project that required the best in engineering and construction expertise entailed the construction of the gold and silver mine, on behalf of Morobe Consolidated Goldfields Limited (MCG Harmony).

CC Pacific Limited in Partnership with Cadden Crowe was engaged by Ausenco to source and provide their expat and national workforce for the duration of the project.

Corman Contractors & Quest Exploration Drillers, CC Pacific Limited provided Expatriate Drillers & Heavy Diesel mechanics to Corman Contractors in Hides and to Quest Exploration Drillers as contracting staff in PNG, under CC Pacific Limited Work Permit and Visa’s.

Resource Sector

CC Pacific Limited has also provided contract employment solutions to specialist organisations who had been engaged in urgent Fixed Term Projects/Contracts in PNG but did not have registered offices in country. Owing to the term and nature of their contract(s) they did not have the time to register offices, nor did they see any feasibility in doing so because of the term of their contract(s). CC Pacific Limited was able to assist such companies like.

The Mining Sector –

Sandvik Mining & Construction PNG Limited is a world-leading mining equipment manufacturer, who are committed to improving productivity and profitability. Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions products and services provide maximum value in terms of performance, quality, safety and flexibility. Sandvik was recently awarded a long-term contract at a couple of mine sites in PNG prompting them to establish an office in PNG. Because of the urgent demand to be on site and working, from their client(s) Sandvik has partnered with CC Pacific Limited to employ their people while the office is being set up. This includes both Expatriates and Nationals both, On and Off site who will all be transferred on to Sandvik books once they are ready.

Gardline International (now Oceanology International), the largest UK based Marine Surveying Company that was engaged by Nautilus Minerals on a 6-month contract to carry out multi-beam surveying of the seafloor. Gardline CGGV Pte Ltd is contracted by Nautilus to conduct site surveys in the Bismark Sea, in PNG and as such Gardline had to bring into PNG on their research vessel (M/V Duke), both marine and technical crew. The crews were made up of over 30 non-national citizens from across the globe. CC Pacific Limited able to through direct interaction and liaising with the PNG government’s labour and immigration departments provide legal employment through CC Pacific Limited to all marine and technical crew on board the M/V Duke for the duration of their contract.

Stebbins Australia Pty Limited was awarded a two (2) month contract on the Lihir Gold Limited project MOPU 9N-630-106-2 and needed to bring into PNG 40 to 60 skilled Filipinos for this specific contract period. The 40 individuals required short term work permits and visas for the two (2) month duration. SPSI needed to employ the 40 to 60 Filipinos through an entity such as CC Pacific Limited to provide to its employee legal employment and have them all meet necessary statutory requirements and insurances for working in PNG.

Oil & Gas –

EOS Joint Venture (Worley Parsons & KBR) was created by Exxon Mobil construct the PNG LNG’s Training Facilities in Port Moresby and Komo (SHP). EOSJV partnered with CC Pacific Limited to provide recruitment and contracting of most of its project staff in Port Moresby (Port Moresby Technical College/APTC) and the Juni Training College in Komo, SHP. CC Pacific Limited successfully identified and provided over 60 national and expatriate professionals in finance & admin and technical staff in trades & engineering for the duration of the project (over 2 years).

Jacobs Engineering was awarded the AGRP contract by Oil Search PNG Limited where we were engaged to employ over 30 National and Non-National EPC project staff to the duration of their contract onsite in Kutubu.

Construction & Engineering

Offshore Construction Specialists (OCS) was awarded a contract to construct 4 kilometres of offshore pipeline from Bootless Bay to the end of Jacksons international airport handing the onshore pipeline construction on to Sun Engineering. This pipeline is to provide Jet Fuel from Tankers to recently built fuel tanks to increase the supply of Jet Fuel to cater for the expected increase in aviation traffic during the APEC summit. With this understanding from discussions and the fact that this is OCS’s first contract in PNG we have carried out research that has shown that given the duration of the contract OCS is not required to register a company in PNG. A visit to the IPA office to seek assistance and guidance to explore options available to enable OCS to work in PNG legally and employ their crew in PNG has confirmed this.

Bulk Recruitment /Psychometric Evaluation/Assessment Centres

Graduate Development Programs (SP Brewery & Steamships Trading Company):

Over the past 5 years, CC Pacific Limited successfully completed an advertising and bulk recruitment campaign for university graduates from universities across PNG, respectively for SP Brewery and the Steamships Trading Company’s Graduate Development Programs.

From an initial cull of over 1,000 applications, a Longlist – maximum of 500 graduates, is then put through a vigorous recruitment process that involves critical screening, interviews, psychometric evaluation, and assessment centres, allowing CC Pacific Limited to deliver successful graduates to their GDP. Each client had specific Core disciplines pertaining to their business needs and such were: Engineering, Human Resources, Physics & Instrumentation, ICT, Marketing, Business Management and so on.

All psychometric evaluation normative data has allowed our in-house psychologist to develop PNG norms for realistic comparisons.

G4S – Manus Island Detention/Asylum Centre:

During September 2013, CC Pacific Limited was engaged by G4S to conduct a recruitment exercise on Manus Island for the Australian Department of Immigration.  This assignment involved the interviewing of just under a thousand candidates from across the Manus Province and the facilitation of Assessment Centres over a 13-day period. The result/outcome from the exercise was the mobilising of approximately 430 Manus locals into various roles with G4S from Supervisory roles, Finance & Administration, clerical, Static Guards, Close Protection, etc. The assessment centre provided G4S the latitude to select suitable candidates to undergo on-the-job training / induction before placing them in jobs. In addition to this, recruitment assignment CC Pacific Limited was also tasked to arrange and provide pre-employment medicals and police checks.

Downer EDI & Ok Tedi Mining Limited:

In February 2012, CC Pacific Limited successfully sourced and placed a total of 15 Heavy Equipment Fitters with Downer EDI in Australia.  These 15 candidates underwent a thorough screening process which involved testing, assessment centres and in-depth interviews to ensure that all candidates met the requirements of our client in Australia.  The total number of candidates that went through this process over a two-week period was 150 Heavy Equipment Fitters.

CC Pacific Limited was involved in mass recruitment exercise involving the sourcing of Heavy Equipment Operators for Ok Tedi Mining Ltd.  The involved an advertising campaign and screening and the final presentation of a total of 100 candidates out of which 40 candidates were on-boarded and employed with Ok Tedi Mining Ltd.

Career Transitioning/Outplacement & Counselling Services

CC Pacific Limited together with partners Pacific People Solutions in Australia also provided Career Transitioning and Counselling Services across the Mining and Oil & Gas industries with employees based in Port Moresby offices/operations, Offices abroad and site-based employees. Numbers ranged from about 10 to around 300 employees spread over an agreed term. CC Pacific Limited offers an additional three-month assistance to all employees willing to utilise the service post redundancy.

Organisations worked with included Oil Search PNG across PNG and Australia, InterOil to Puma Transition and Morobe Mining Joint Venture redundancies across Lae based, Hidden Valley and Wafi/Golpu sites.
